How long does the inspection take?
The inspection typically takes 2 hours onsite, we then head back to the office to complete the report and get a peer review before sending it out.
Do I need to be at the inspection?
As long as we can gain access to the property, you are not needed to be there. However, you are welcome to attend if you wish.
When will the report be ready?
We aim to get all reports out within 24 hours, but please let us know if you have an urgent deadline to meet.
Does my house need to be empty for the inspection?
No, it is common to inspect a fully furnished house, but please keep in mind we need reasonable access to be able to inspect elements properly.
What exactly do you inspect?
We follow the NZ Standard NZS4306; please refer to this for the exact parameters of the inspection report.
Do you need access to the roof?
We will inspect the roof from a standard ladder. Roofs over 3m will be reported based on what can be observed from the best vantage point.
Is it ok to have our pets at home?
We don't mind cats, but we do ask that any dogs are secured or not at home during the inspection.
